Thiene Castle is in the heart of the old city of Thiene, in front of the town hall. The main entrance is at the beginning of the city’s limited access main street.
For parking cars, we suggest:
- the ‘Villa Fabris’ car park in Piazzale Divisione Acqui - 172 parking spaces - free parking – 200 metres from the Castle - about 3 minutes walk.
- the ‘Parco del Donatore’ car park in Via Monsignor Pertile - 152 parking spaces - free parking – 500 metres from the Castle - about 6 minutes walk.
For parking coaches, we suggest letting the passengers off beside the town hall in Piazza Cesare Battisti and then parking during the visit at the Salvo d’Acquisto car park in Via Monte Grappa (1km after the town hall).
Road directions:
Thiene can be reached by car via the Valdastico A31 motorway (Vicenza-Piovene Rocchette section), exit at Thiene-Schio; by rail on the Vicenza-Schio line and by public bus from Vicenza and the main provincial centres: Schio, Bassano, Asiago etc.
It is 20 km from Vicenza and Bassano, 60 km from Padua, 75 km from Verona, 90 km from Venice.
It is close to the thermal areas of Abano (50 km) and Recoaro (30 km), and Lake Garda (100 km).
