From 17 October to 7 November 2026, the Dimore Amiche del Veneto, part of the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI) network, will open their parks, gardens, woodlands and broli to the public for Natura in Villa, a festival offering a journey through nature, history, culture and heritage, exploring the relationship each historic residence has developed with its surrounding landscape.
Sunday, 25 October 2026 at Castello di Thiene:
10.00 am – Presentation of the book Paesaggi d’acqua nelle ville venete (Marsilio Arte, 2025)
Edited by Mariapia Cunico and Giuseppe Rallo, with a text by Margherita Azzi Visentini and photographs by Stefano Maruzzo.
The book explores the role of water in the history of the Venetian villas, highlighting the relationship between gardens, broli, fishponds, irrigation channels and the surrounding landscape. It offers a journey through architecture, nature and territory, combining extensive historical research with a rich collection of photographs and illustrations.
In collaboration with Libreria Ubik Thiene. The book will be available for purchase at the end of the presentation.
Free admission, subject to availability.
11.30 am and 3.00 pm – Autumn Wreath-Making Workshop
Organised by Fioreria Viola di Malo.
Registration required; maximum 15 participants per session (the workshop will also take place in case of bad weather).
€50 per person – duration: 2 hours.

12.00 pm and 3.00 pm – Botanical Walk through the Historic Park
A walk through the autumn colours of the Castle’s historic park, led by landscape expert Pamela Nichele, with the participation of Francesca di Thiene, co-owner of the Castle.
A special opportunity to discover the park, its tree species, historic landscape and the transformations of nature throughout the seasons.
€15 per person, including admission and guided tour of the park, as well as independent access to the Castle’s historic rooms.
Duration of the guided park tour: 1 hour.
